KITEKAHUNAS Terms and Conditions for your Kitesurfing Courses and the Wave Camp:
+ All Kitesurfing Courses and KITEKAHUNAS Wave Camps can include accommodation. We offer 3 standards: Basic/budget or medium class (partly on the beach) or luxury guest house (close to the beach or on the beach, partly with Ocean view rooms). In Table View or Sunset Beach, Cape Town, South Africa. Or you can book without accommodation.
+ All our KITEKAHUNAS Wave Camps usually start on Saturday morning 10:00 and run for 14 days (on wind days) until Friday two weeks later. If you book with accommodation, 14 nights are included. Check-in every day from 11:00. Check-out before 09:00. Kitesurfing equipment storage is included. Space is limited to 8 people per Camp to insure high quality, fun, safety and a personal relationship with Kitekahunas‘ instructors. If the start day is inconvenient, you can also start on another day.
+ All our Kitesurfing A+B+C+D Beginner Crash Courses start in the morning 09:30 and run for the duration of 15 days (wind days) for three weeks. You will become a fully independent kitesurfer within 15 course days, subject to at least average talent. If you book with accommodation, 21 nights are included. Check-in any day from 11:00. Check-out before 09:00. Kitesurfing equipment storage is included. Space is limited to 2 people per Instructor to insure high quality, safety and a steep learning curve.
+ We can offer kitesurfing accommodations, some directly on the beach. You can book kitesurfing accommodations with or without a Kitesurfing Course or Camp. Accommodation can be combined with a Kitesurfing Beginners A+B+C+D Crash Course or KITEKAHUNAS Wave Camp or Mixed Twin-tip and Wave Kitesurfing Course. Cape Town has 30+ kitesurfing beaches. Pass most of them on downwinders but stay away from crowded kitesurfing beaches. Get everyday guidance and supervision: where and when to kitesurf, depending on wind, waves, your skills and your intererests. Have access to our instructors for some tips and for safety. Go with our course group or camp group and enjoy the good company. Take lesson hours when you feel like it.
+ On our courses you will have 3-5 hours of instructions per day on wind days. This is theory and practice, and it translates into 1-3 hours of net water time.
+ If the wind forecast says no wind, there might be 1-2 hours of theory or video training, if the curriculum allows, or no lessons. If there is no wind, there will be no kitesurfing and you can enjoy the many attractions Cape Town has to offer.
+ Kitekahunas is NOT responsible to entertain you or to offer you any alternative programme on no-wind days. You will have to fill this spare time with your own activities. Our course prices are mixed calculations taking no-wind days already into account. We have in Cape Town 70-90% wind days. So expect e.g. during a 14 days course or camp 10-13 teaching days / water days. During a 7 days course or camp please expect 5-6 teaching days / water days.
+ All kitesurfing courses include tuition and possibly accommodation as per your selection.
+ Kitesurfing Beginner Course A+B (the first 3+2 days of your A+B+C+D course) will include all learning materials: Kites and boards, harness, helmet, impact west, wetsuit and all necessary equipment needed for learning.
+ For all other courses (advanced courses C-W) and the KITEKAHUANAS Wave Camp or or the Mixed Twin-tip and Wave Kitesurfing Course equipment is not included. You can bring your own equipment, or purchase or rent equipment from our Slingshot Shop and Test Centre. You get best price guarantee for Slingshot equipment, worldwide, and you get 15% VAT back at the airport. Best prices in South Africa.
+ After your confirmed booking: Cancellation is possible until 4 weeks before the course starts. We will refund 25% of the course price (half of your deposit). After this date, the full course price is due, regardless of your participation.
+ On arrival you will be required to settle the rest of the course or camp price and sign our indemnification form.
+ Students take full responsibility in the event of loss of equipment during the lessons.
+ All courses will be in English language with German language support. Other languages may be supported too, such as French, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Russian, and other.
+ Tuition on the water is of course subject to wind and weather conditions.
We cannot allow any re-imbursements or money back for lack of wind or bad weather.
