Kitesurfing spot information
The kitesurfing spot Hermanus has two options. Hermanus offers a great option for beginners to learn kitesurfing in the lagoon. For the more advanced riders can work on their wave riding skills. Waves can be found on the ocean. The SE is steady and can blow up to 25 knots. The SW on the lagoon is gusty, but for wave riding perfect. Swells tend to close out but can get really big at times.
How to get there and rigging areas
127 km from Cape Town. Take the N2 from Cape Town. After Sir Lowry’s Pass, take the Hermanus off-ramp. Drive all the way through the town of Hermanus, after the last traffic circle, follow the signs to Grotto Beach. Rigging on the beach.
