Kitesurfing spot information

When the wind is too strong in Cape Town, it gets often more steady and lighter wind at Lake Brandvlei.

The wind usually comes through in the afternoon and it is a nice flatwater spot for freestyle.

How to get there and rigging areas

From Cape Town take the N1 to Worcester, after about 80km turn right onto the old N1/R101. After 1.6km turn right into Van Rebeeck St and continue through the town Rawsonville. Follow the road for about 5km. Turn right where the sign says "Brandvlei" and continue alongside the dam road to the gate on the left side of the road. Rigging on the grass next to the water.
